General Laborer
April-November
Top Gun Landscaping is seeking a highly motivated individual in the Guelph, Kitchener, and Waterloo areas to fill the role of general laborer. This role is ideal for students or those interested in learning more about the landscaping trades. The start and end dates are flexible. Candidates should apply with a full resume complete with two references and must satisfy the following:
What We're Looking For:
Job Requirements:
- G Class drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Personal transportation to Guelph or sites in Kitchener/Cambridge/Waterloo
- Able to work 30-40 hours per week Monday to Friday Starting May and ending in October
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50-100lbs repeatedly
- Must be able to read and interpret work orders
- Must be able to take accurate measurements when needed
Other Applicable Skills:
- Should be self motivated and capable of working with a team or individually
- Applicants must be polite and professional
- Must be able to learn quickly
- A love of the outdoors
- Landscaping experience not required but is an asset
- The ability to operate small engines and other pieces of equipment not required but is an asset
- Willing to learn about the landscaping trades
Lead Foreperson
April-November
Top Gun Landscaping is seeking a Lead Foreperson with at least two years of industry experience in the Guelph, Kitchener, and Waterloo areas. This role is ideal for those looking to join a business in a rapidly expanding industry. Interested candidates should be prepared to start in April. Candidates should apply with a full resume and cover letter as well as two references. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

- G Class drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Personal transportation to Guelph or sites in Kitchener/Cambridge/Waterloo
- Able to work 40-50 hours per week Monday to Friday Starting May, scaling back to winter hours in November
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50-100lbs repeatedly
- Must be able to read and interpret work orders
- Must be able to drive truck and trailer combination
- Must have at least two years hardscape experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to interpret site drawings
- Must be able to operate small engines
Other Applicable Skills:
- Ability to operate Bobcat/CAT skid steers and small excavators an asset
- Polite, presentable and professional as this is a client facing role
- Sales skills are an asset
